Generation 3 - Eva and Jeffrey Jigs

Welcome back to Generation 3 of the Jigs Family. To catch you up, Mae and Darian just had a baby girl named Eva. I do not know if Eva will be the heir, since I go by the rule of closest relationship to the parents when the current "ruler" dies. 

Eva aged up and rolled the Cheerful trait and Artist Prodigy aspiration. 

 Here are Mae and Eva bonding in Eva's room. Behind Eva is a painting Mae created after Eva was born. We'll pretend Eva is supposed to look lopsided for artistic purposes!

 Darian is coming into his own with taking over as the man of the house since Ronny left.

 Here is Mae in her work uniform painting a playful piece. It turns out to be Excellent! I hung it in the kitchen once it was finished.

Mae and Ronny moved into the master bedroom now and decided to try for another child - have to get a spare heir! Here is the hopeful mommy taking her pregnancy test.

 The results were negative and Mae can't help but feel unhappy.

 Mae heads downstairs to see that Janie is visiting. They spend some time together and Janie keeps the sad news to herself. After Janie's visit is finished, Darian and Mae decided to try again.

Mae was clearly hopeful during this test, however, the negative results were clear - No Baby. Darian comes to console her with a hug. 

 Which quickly leads to another shot at a baby!

 Mae runs to the restroom to take another test and the confetti flies! Mae is pregnant!

 She immediately runs to a worrisome Darian and shares the big news. Could he look a little less upset? This was try number 3, buddy!

 Mae wants to introduce Eva to her aunt and cousin across the street and to share the big news. Ronny wasn't home, he works evenings for his Comedian career. Angila is pretty rude and leaves Mae and Eva on the street to talk.

Mae leaves the girls outside to catch up while she shares the big news with Deandra. She was so excited! Then she introduced Ronny's CHILDREN to Mae.

 Mae heads to the bedroom and sees the babies. That's right folks, Ronny and Deandra had TRIPLETS! What a way to start a marriage.

 Their names are Layton, Isaiah, and Karen.

 As I'm trying to get a good picture of the triplets, I notice something odd in the back ground and head to investigate the kitchen.

 There's our beautiful mommy on fire! This is so shocking to me that Mae can't do anything about it!

 The wonderful and sweet mommy to 4 kids burns to death while her whole family watches.

 Confident Mae demands Grim Reaper to spare Deandra, but he has none of it.

 Then the girls and boys come to say goodboye to their mom.

 Ronny gets home and Mae has to have the talk with him. What was meant to be an exciting trip about the new Jigs children, became a tragedy.

 And then Eva hit it off with Grim Reaper. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Does anyone else feel like this family has had a lot of death lately?!

 Eva gets consoled by Grim Reaper and heads home for the night.

 After they returned from Deandra's passing, Eva went to her room to talk to her dinosaur. He helps her feel better for the time being.

 The next day, Ronny stops by during Mae's swim. He's still heartbroken but is in a very Angry mood.

Mae attempts to take his mind off of Deandra and have him focus on the coming baby, but he is having none of it and soon throws an insult at the sensitive-from-pregnancy Mae.

 Mae has Ronny leave and he tries to apologize, but it doesn't help.

 A few short hours later, Eva invites Angila over to help her get her mind off of losing her mom. They play and attempt to become friends, but the red Plumbob makes it obvious that someone should have been taking care of Eva instead.

 While walking her friend out, Eva passes out on the sidewalk. Creepy man walking by the house!

 Mae takes her studies seemingly seriously, but she's more interested in her piano playing at this point.

 If fire could STOP happening, that'd be awesome. Darian catches on fire while making Eggs and Toast. Thank the powers that be that this time I could select him to Extinguish Self. Sheesh.

 After taking care of herself, Eva visits her cousin Layton.

 He's in a pretty crappy mood.

 Eva tells him they're going to the park! Karen is missing, but Eva, Layton, Angila, and Isaiah all make their way to the nearest park. Time to get away from the tragedy and start being friends!

 Isaiah and Layton clearly are best friends! How adorable is this??

 Eva and Angila arrive and are still building their friendship. They seems to bond over jokes well.

Lo and behold, the missing triplet was already at the park! Karen comes over to talk to her family. She is pretty uncontrollably sad. She has this sweet quiet voice that would probably sound pretty pathetic even when she's excited. Over all, the cousins had a great time and built a strong foundation of friendship between all of them.

 Meanwhile, Mae returns from work without her belly! I immediately Trolled Teh Forums to find out if any Sims had every "miscarried" or lost their baby during pregnancy. I was freaking out because it had taken 3 tries to get this baby and sent both Mae and Darian into exhaustion! Ain't nobody got time for that.

 Then I watched her more closely and quickly found that she is indeed still pregnant. I was just dealing with a glitch. Phew!

 Darian, the Glutton, is a little unhappy with me only allowing him to make Garden Salad. He is banned from the oven until that baby is born!

 Mae wakes up the next morning with labor pains and her bump back in place.

 To speed up the process, Mae and Darian head to the hospital to have the newest Jig join the family.

Introducing baby Jeffrey Jigs! 

 Darian is the most excited about this baby, this time around. Has he always wished Eva was a boy or is he just more prepared since this is baby number two?

 One thing I love about the Sims 4 is that you do NOT have to take Family Leave and even Dad gets to now! Since Mae is so artistically gifted, I don't want her missing out on her job in the Painting career track. That same day after delivering Jeffrey, Mae receives a promotion! This is her new outfit and I think it's adorable.

 The exhausted parents trying to catch some quiet time together.Such a sweet time.

 Jeffrey seems to be taking a liking to video games early on, which is a little sad because it doesn't boost any skills for him. He is playing Sims Forever here and I love that it is actual gameplay from Sims 1.

 While Mae is at work, Darian gets an invite to his next door neighbor's birthday party. Since it's a Saturday, Darian takes the kids with him. They spent most of the time standing on the sidewalk chatting. It was fun being invited to a party for a change and there was even a timer like on the played lot but no challenges.

 Darian did make some time to hang out with the boys but he quickly found that he had nothing in common with any of them and raced home to meet Mae coming home from work.

 In typical Darian ways, he quickly tells Mae about his crazy ideas to become Partners in Crime.

 At first, Mae was hesitant but he is her penguin, so ....

 They shook on it. They can now pull pranks on people around them!

 Mae has been feeling a little frumpy since the birth of Jeffrey, so she heads to the mirror and starts prancing herself around in her outfits. She quickly becomes Flirty and runs straight to the bedroom where she finds Darian and they try for a baby.

 As Darian falls asleep, Mae rushes to the toilet to take the test.

 We're pregnant!! Darian is a little shocked at first. But then this immediately happens.

 A very confident Darian dances the night away!
